Profile

Yingxiao Yan

Yingxiao Yan recently completed his PhD in bioinformatics and computational metabolomics at Chalmers University of Technology. He will soon work as a postdoctoral fellow in the department of environmental science at Stockholm University/SciLifeLab. Yingxiao’s doctoral research centered on computational approaches in metabolomics, exposomics, and molecular epidemiology. He has developed multiple omics data analysis tools, including R packages and Shiny applications, and applied metabolomics to investigate molecular mechanisms linking complex environmental exposures to health outcomes. He has delivered oral presentations and received awards at Metabolomics 2022, Nordic metabolomics 2023 and 2024. In addition to his experience in metabolomics, Yingxiao holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and has industry experience in health economics evaluation and health promotion. Beyond research, Yingxiao has served as the Chair of the PhD Council in his department for 3 years and as the Treasurer for the Doctoral Student Union at Chalmers University of Technology for 2 years. Yingxiao also has experience in in webpage development. Further information about Yingxiao’s academic profile and research projects can be found at: https://yingxiaoyan.gitlab.io/YingxiaoYan.com/
